Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Collaborative Outreach Programme is a partnership of universities and colleges from across our two counties, working together to support young people to consider their futures.
We aim to inspire and inform learners about their options and encourage them to think about higher education in all forms, including university, college-based higher education, and higher and degree apprenticeships.
We provide targeted outreach activities to schools, colleges and communities specifically focusing on higher education. We work with teachers and advisors, parents and carers, and learners to address concerns and break down the barriers that might prevent young people from progressing to higher education.
Our central team and Derby hub are based at the University of Derby, with delivery teams based at University of Nottingham and Vision West Nottinghamshire College, providing us the opportunity to work closely with schools and colleges across our counties.
As well as our central team, our partner institutions have staff working within their in-reach teams, delivering a range of projects designed to tackle specific topics relating to higher education in their geographical areas. They offer invaluable personal advice and guidance to learners at their place of study.
Our partner colleges sit on the Innovations and Partners Group (IPG), providing the opportunity for collaborative working across the DANCOP network among further education institutions with a higher education provision.
