DANCOP is proud to present Independent Me, a virtual challenge supporting learners to consider their skills, strengths and aspirations from home while schools are closed and our keyworker friends in the NHS and beyond are tackling the coronavirus. We’ve put together an interactive challenge which will encourage learners to keep their goals in the forefront of their minds even while they’re not able to be in school. There are exciting prizes to be won and a lot of fun to be had!

There are three stages of the project – My Future, My Journey and My Skills. Learners will work through a series of activities, checking in with Team DANCOP to complete each stage, and will have the opportunity to ask our expert staff any questions they might have about higher education, routes, skills and finance. We’ll cover university level study, apprenticeships, personal skills and learners will finish the project with an employability map to help them with their future goals!

We know this is a difficult time for our partner schools, their staff and learners so this challenge is open to all young people and aligns directly to our progression framework and activity menu sessions. We’ll also be supporting our young people with stress management and resilience which is key for us all!

If you would like to sign your learners up for the challenge please contact info@teamdancop.co.uk or your hub project officer and they will send out an information pack containing the first challenges.
