Steps to Success

Learners will develop awareness of their own thoughts and begin to reflect upon their approach to prior learning and use this knowledge to plan for future learning.

Learners will develop key questioning techniques to allow them to critically analyse information from a variety of sources.

Learners will reflect on revision methods that they are currently using, explore the ‘Method of Loci’ revision technique and discuss the importance of managing time and space in the run up to exams. This session serves as an effective introduction to the full DANCOP Revision Programme.

Learners will reflect upon their current resilience levels, before engaging with a range of ideas to help them develop their own resilience toolkit.

Learners will consider and set some short, medium, and longterm goals, creating a vision board to guide them towards achieving their goals.

A fast-paced and engaging confident communication workshop that develops students’ oracy skills and spoken confidence; delivered by Talk the Talk. Students will explore different modes of communication, develop effective use of structuring in short talks and presentations, and apply persuasive language techniques to get their message across confidently and effectively. Students will also be well prepared for English Speaking and Listening assessments.
