Weekly Round Up 28/07/2025

As we wrap up another fantastic academic year, we reflect on our highlights from last week:

At Nottingham Academy we delivered our HE Pathway Session with year 10 learners. They considered the big decision ahead of them in choosing their post 16 education pathways and discussed the different options available to them.

The Art Careers Enrichment Day in collaboration with Royal School for the Deaf Derby took place and was a huge success. Learners took part in art-based activities with local artists Rubbena Aurangzeb-Tariq and Zoe Milner around the theme of Deaf Power. They also looked at the career routes of each of the artists and different pathways linked to art. See attached some pictures of the fabulous artwork the learners created.

We supported a year 12 mock interview event at the Nottingham Emmanuel School (NES) on Tuesday. Learners taking part in their first ever interview performed brilliantly and it was great to hear them use the DANCOP activities they have taken part in this year as examples to demonstrate their skills.

Karolina and Natalie closed off the academic year with a bang! We delivered six employability skills workshops to the year 10 cohort at he Manor Academy as part of their Careers Day. It was fantastic to see the learners experience a wide range of activities, as well as getting a chance to speak with local HEIs and employers.

We hope everyone has a restful break over the Summer and we can’t wait to see you all in the new academic year!
